Dr ‘Tunde Reis is the founder of Firstworld Ventures Ltd, a company with the vision of facilitating skills and techniques that elicit our human potential, productivity and wellbeing. Firstworld Ventures provides training programmes in Search Inside Yourself (SIY), Self-Leadership, Coaching, and other growth and transformation tools for corporate and individual clients (www.fw-p.co.uk).

Dr 'Tunde Reis speaks at various professional events and he is a certified teacher of Search Inside Yourself (SIY), a mindfulness-based programme that focuses on emotional intelligence that is backed by neuroscience, developed and tested by Google. Dr Reis enjoys contemplative practices, which significantly influence the work that he does and his accomplishments, a mindset that he is keen to share as he continues to explore and learn within the field of mindfulness.

With a background in Architecture and Affordable Housing, Dr Reis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and a Master's degree in Environmental Design (Architecture), both from the University of Lagos. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the London Business School. A passion in architecture led him to complete further studies, where he obtained a PhD in Housing Studies from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, alongside a Certificate in Company Direction from the UK Institute of Directors.

After a renowned career in the military, Dr Reis retired from the Nigerian Army as a Brigadier General, having received the highest medal for an impeccable long service. His innovative contributions throughout his time in the military were acknowledged with two national honours. Alongside his military achievements, our founder achieved the “Distinguished Alumni of the Lagos Business School” award and also became a fellow of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and the Africa Leadership Initiative in West Africa.

In addition to founding Firstworld Ventures, Dr Reis is also the founder of First World Communities Ltd, a company focused on large-scale development of affordable housing and associated infrastructure (www.firstworld-communities.com). He is a non-executive director in other companies and non-profit boards.
